Étienne decides what Kanacapture builds, and why. An engineer by trade — the recognition pipeline that turns one photo into a structured inventory grew out of his work — he now leads the product team and carries the conversations with customers, partners and stakeholders that shape where the platform goes next.
Laurent keeps the company running. He looks after the team, the day-to-day operations and the administrative groundwork nobody sees — hiring, finances and the processes that let a small company take on work at the scale of a building or a whole portfolio.

We believe the most powerful way to fight the waste of supplies is to build circular economies inside communities, keeping what is still good in use, close to the people who need it, instead of letting it sit in storage until it ends up in a landfill.
For most companies and governments, the obstacle is never willingness; it is friction. Figuring out what you have, what it is worth and who could use it has always meant manual counts, spreadsheets and disconnected resale workflows, so the path of least resistance becomes the dumpster.
We set out to flip that. By simplifying the process and lowering the cost of responsibly parting with unused material, furniture and supplies, we make reuse the default, turning what used to be a disposal expense into recovered value and shared opportunity.
It grew out of a Marketplace for Non-profit.
Before Kanacapture, we built réutilisons.com, a Quebec-born marketplace giving surplus office and school furniture a second life. Running it taught us the real bottleneck: organizations could not act on what they could not see. Kanacapture is the intelligence layer that solves that, feeding the same circular loop that réutilisons makes possible.
